The Commercial development 101 Embankment, has been shortlisted for a prestigious RIBA Regional Award (North West). Completed in 2016, Lindner Prater was appointed to deliver a façade package to this architecturally-stunning office building.
Part of a major regeneration programme of the Greengate area of Salford, our remit included a 360° curtain walling unitised façade, louvres, rainscreen cladding and structural glazing – in addition to a separate curtain walling system on the ground floor of the building.
Utilising off-site manufacturing and adopting unconventional methods of delivery and installation enabled us to complete a fast-paced programme within a congested urban location to the satisfaction of both main contractor and end client.
The RIBA Regional Award is given to any building across the UK that has been recognised as a significant contribution to architecture. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony held in Liverpool on the 16th May.
Successful nominees will be considered for a RIBA National Award with national winners being automatically shortlisted for the prestigious Sterling Prize.
