Lindner Prater has been appointed by Blue Sky Building (on behalf of Royal Mail) to undertake extension and refurbishment works at the Royal Mail Mount Pleasant sorting centre.
As part of The Royal Mail’s substantial development of its landmark site, Mount Pleasant, in Farringdon, the sorting office is undergoing a major redevelopment. Lindner Prater has been appointed to deliver the roofing package to include a new canopied area that will cover the through route from the road to the loading area, which will be an inverted roofing solution. In addition, Lindner Prater will be delivering refurbishment works to the existing loading bay at the building with a single ply warm roof solution.
Karl Moxon, Sales and Estimating Manager at Lindner Prater, commented: “We are thrilled to partner with BlueSky Building on this important phase of the overall development for such a prestigious end client.
“Royal Mail Mount Pleasant will still be continuing its busy operations throughout the works - with deliveries being taken to-and-from the sorting office 24-hours a day, requiring a proactive and collaborative approach to deliver a quality project in a challenging environment. Our specialist expertise in providing bespoke solutions, partnership approach and understanding of the project challenges and Royal Mail’s continued operations were therefore instrumental to our contract win, as well as our core health and safety ethos and ability to meet tight deadlines.”
