Overview Expand

Manchester Goods Yard (MGY) is the commercial heart of Enterprise City, featuring a state-of-the-art workspace with a striking Brutalist design inspired by the industrial warehouses of Brooklyn, New York.

With 31,000m² of prime office space, MGY represents a significant addition to the St. John’s regeneration development—a dynamic new city-centre neighborhood driven by enterprise, culture, and urban vitality. Situated near the award-winning Aviva Studios, which we delivered as a versatile performance theatre, MGY strengthens Manchester’s evolving business district.

Designed to achieve BREEAM Excellent accreditation, MGY leverages off-site Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) to minimise waste, enhance quality control, and reduce its carbon footprint. This approach underscores its commitment to sustainability while meeting Manchester’s growing demand for adaptable, bespoke office environments.

Our scope of work included integrating glazing into pre-cast elements and delivering a comprehensive cladding and roofing envelope package. Collaborating closely with Techrete and Lendlease, our contribution played a vital role in achieving the project’s overall sustainability goals, creating dynamic office spaces whilst preserving a beacon of Brutalist architecture.
